The highly anticipated 2.4 Firmware update for the PS3 has been taken off of the Sony servers because of the problems occuring with the update. Thank God I got mine before they took it off of the servers and sorry to the people waiting.

I downloaded Firmware V 2.40 last night at 12:30 eastern standard time. I have been playing it all night and all day, with little time for sleep I used all my games and tried to use the xmb in all of them, so far it all works for me. I do however have a list of things to say i would like to see sony implement.
1. Music during internet browsing- now while i understand that i have to wait for patches from the devs for In Game Music (some games have it already), but why not be able to use the music player while im browsing my favorate site? this would be a big deal, atleast to me.
2. Trophys- I literally played Super StarDust HD all morning to get some trophy’s, and i have a few so far, but why the lack of games that support them? I know that warhawk supports them, but i dont own this game at the moment. what im really wondering tho, is if the first party games already support them? because if they dont already thats a bummer for me.
3.In Game Voice And Video Chat- Xbox 360 has chat lines in which you can talk to specific people, from what i understand is you can also talk to a friend on video chat while in a game (but im not sure of that). Why not add voice chat? The text messages are awesome dont get me wrong, but im kind of lazy, and while im in a game i want to be able to talk AND play, i dont want to pick and choose. Plus adding a small video icon would be cool, i mean thats why i bought my Ps EyE…
4. Picture Viewer In Game (or in Internet Browser)- Last night after i downloaded 2.40 i put it Dark Sector (good game), and i was playing with the In Game XMB seeing what it can do and what? you have to quit the game to view pictures? again what? Im not a dev, or even a computer program, but i think that with all they did they could add this function.
well this is my list, and if im wrong on anything here just let me know, i dont mind being wrong.
i would also like to add that even with this list of things i have left i still think that with this update Ps3 now beats 360 hands down!

i downloaded it at 11:45 which was right when it was released because I kept checking for the update like every 20 seconds
even though there are major problems, i am glad that i got the update and feel bad for the people who dont have it
